MINERVA, NY—An 18-year old Minerva teen is under arrest for falsely reporting a motor vehicle accident. Nicholas D. Jones of 20 Lafond Way has been charged with third degree falsely reporting an incident, a class A misdemeanor for a report to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center on March 14 about 8 p.m. of a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.
Sheriff’s Lt. Shawn Lamouree said the person making the report through an emergency radio didn’t identify himself and the communications officer was unable to establish contact with the caller.
EMS agencies throughout the county were asked to account for their members to insure that they weren’t involved in an accident. All members were accounted for and no accidents were located.
