Code Green Campaign granted federal 501(c)(3) status

Recognition broadens access to resources and funding to fulfill mission of reducing first responder mental health problems

DALLAS — The Code Green Campaign announces they are an official public charity that has been granted 501(c)(3) status by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. The recognition makes the Code Green Campaign a federally recognized tax-exempt organization.

“We are incredibly happy that our 501(c)(3) status has been granted.” said Vice-President and co-founder Kyle Norris.

“This designation is vital to being recognized as a charity and ensures accountability and transparency during our continued growth.”

The Code Green Campaign is now eligible to apply for many grants and programs, which will broaden their access to resources and funding, strengthening their ability to fulfill their mission to bring awareness to and reduce the high rates of mental health problems in first responders.

The Code Green Campaign was founded to bring awareness to the high rates of mental health problems and suicide in first responders. Any donations made to the Code Green Campaign since it was incorporated on April 3rd, 2014 are retroactively tax-deductible in full.
