KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Four people were injured Tuesday evening after a boat caught fire in a marina near the northern shore of Lake Tohopekaliga, the Kissimmee Fire Department said.

Rescuers responded around 5 p.m. to Big Toho Marina at 69 Lakeview Drive after reports of a fire. When they arrived, KFD said rescuers found a boat engulfed in flames on a trailer in the parking lot.

Investigators said there were four adults working on the boat when it caught fire. It’s unclear how the fire started.

Of the four on the boat, three were airlifted to a hospital in Orlando to receive treatment for severe burns, KFD said. The other was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The State Fire Marshal is conducting an investigation. No further information was available.
