BLEDSOE COUNTY, Tenn. — A paramedic was charged with stealing a gun during a medical call after a repo man told police he later pulled the gun on him at his home Monday.

NewsChannel9.com reported that Heath Phillips was arrested after pulling the gun on a man trying to repossess his property. Police learned the gun had been stolen from a patient during a medical call from more than a year ago after running the serial number.

A patient said Phillips responded to a medical call at his house last September when a guest at his house died. The patient said Phillips was “extremely nice,” consoling his family after the incident.

Phillips, who is no longer employed as a paramedic, will be charged with theft of property over $1,000 and reckless endangerment.
