VIROQUA, Wis. — The La Farge ambulance crashed into a ditch while on a call early Thursday morning, but it was able to continue on to the hospital.
Six people were injured in the crash on Hwy. 82 in the town of Webster at 4:14 a.m., according to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Department.
Vernon County Chief Deputy Jim Hanson said it was “unusual” that the ambulance, which sustained about $5,000 worth of damage in the crash, was able to get back on the road and make its run to Vernon Memorial Healthcare in Viroqua, Wis. ...
