Saved patient helps launch new ambulance service in England

A West Sussex lady, who was recently successfully resuscitated by an East Grinstead ambulance crew, has today helped to mark the official launch of the new South East Coast Ambulance Service, along with the longest serving and newest staff from across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

Michelle Blackall suffered a cardiac arrest at home in May of this year and was successfully resuscitated by ambulance technicians Richard Harding and Tim Magson. Mrs Blackall, from East Grinstead, today handed over the “crown badge” of the new service to Trust Chairman, Martin Kitchen at a special launch event held at East Court Mansion in East Grinstead.

East Grinstead is at the very heart of the area to be covered by the new Trust.
