A paramedic who became disabled after responding on 9/11 has finally won his drawn-out fight to get workers’ compensation.
“Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad to get $400 a week, but it’s not the $95,000 I was making before I got too sick,” said Marvin Bethea, 46, of Queens after winning his case yesterday.
Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-Manhattan) brought him to the President’s State of the Union address last January to highlight the plight of 9/11 heroes.
