BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — A driver was killed early Thursday after pulling in front of a Broome County ambulance, state police said.
Dennis Brown, 38, of Port Crane, was pronounced dead at the scene after the 2:17 a.m. crash in the Town of Chenango, just north of Binghamton. He pulled into the road from the parking lot of a bar, but state police couldn’t say until an autopsy whether alcohol was a factor.
The ambulance was on its way to a snowplow that overturned. The ambulance driver and a squad member were treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
