Monday, a 9/11 commission gave the federal government a failing grade for emergency communication.
The report said emergency responders need to have better and faster ways to communicate during a disaster.
When emergencies happen, communication is the key but sometimes that doesn’t happen.
“One of the things most people don’t realize,” Maj. Woody Sandy of the North Carolina Highway Patrol explained. “Every day somewhere in this state an ambulance, fire truck, police of some sort arrive on the scene of some kind of emergency and they can’t talk to each other.”
