FRESNO, Calif. — A former paramedic and his wife have been arrested in the North Valley for stealing thousands of dollars from an accident victim. The sheriff’s department arrested Michael and Traci Carey at their Atwater home Sunday.
Michael is accused of stealing more than $6,000 from a 72-year-old woman who was injured in a car accident last summer.
The couple was employed by Riggs Ambulance in Merced. They no longer work for the company.
