Ambulance officers were kept busy after two separate accidents within one minute in Townsville yesterday afternoon.
A female truck driver had to be cut out of her rig after she lost control of the vehicle in Kelso at 3.26pm.
A Queensland Police spokesman said the driver had lost control on Riverway Drive.
“It appears she hit a parked car and then deflected into a power pole,” the spokesman said.
Firefighters had to cut the woman free from her badly crushed cabin.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said the 30-year-old woman was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
Just one minute earlier an elderly woman was treated for shock after a two-car collision in Annandale.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said the crash happened at the intersection of University Drive and Macarthur St.
The woman was treated at the scene for shock and was not taken to hospital.
