CORDOVA, Tenn. — An ambulance driver responding to an emergency has an emergency of his own when he crashes his unit into a tree. The accident happened at Rock Creek Parkway and Germantown Parkway in Cordova while transporting a patient to the hospital.
The patient was headed to Baptist East but after the accident, everyone inside the ambulance was rushed to the MED, including the patient and the paramedic in the back with her. The EMT driving had to be cut out of the ambulance.
Investigators in Memphis are still documenting evidence in this wreck. They hope to find out how this ambulance ended up wrapped around the tree and how an emergency that started with one patient, ended with three.
