NEW YORK -- Five people were injured when an ambulance and a taxi collided early yesterday near Central Park, an FDNY spokesman said.
The ambulance was taking an 80-year-old man to a Manhattan hospital for an unspecified medical condition about 4:40 a.m. when a taxi turned into its path, authorities said.
The cabbie, two EMS workers, the elderly patient and his daughter were hurt. None of the injuries was life-threatening. The victims were not identified.
