WAYNESBORO, Pa. — The Advance Life Support Unit Medic 2 has kicked off its annual membership drive for the membership year of July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016. Area residents can expect to receive their membership application in the mail within the next week. A Medic 2 membership ensures that a member will not be responsible for any balance for services not covered by insurance. Memberships are a source of funding that keeps Medic 2 providing life-saving emergency services 365 days a year.

In a split second – about the time it takes to blink your eye – an accident, injury or other health issues can change your life forever. For over 30 years, local residents of southern Franklin County and portions of Washington, Adams and Frederick counties have counted on Medic 2 to treat and help save the lives of thousands. With our trained responders, you can rest assured knowing that emergency care is available to you and those you love 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Another benefit of having a membership is it will cover inter-facility transports in Medic 2’s Mobile Intensive Care Unit from the Waynesboro Hospital to another care center, such as Hershey Medical Center or Johns Hopkins. Again the membership will help offset any outstanding balance you may incur from what insurance companies do not cover.
