ST. PETERSBURG, Russia — An ambulance was hit by a car and flipped onto its side as it was crossing an intersection while taking a pregnant woman to the hospital.
Metro.co.uk reported the ambulance drove up to a busy intersection with its lights and sirens on, checked the intersection and then slowly drove through the red light.
The ambulance almost made it to the other side of the intersection when an oncoming car slammed into it and flipped the ambulance.
The pregnant woman was not harmed and was taken to the hospital by a different ambulance.
Police are investigating the incident.
