BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. — A man died in a crash with an ambulance, and two EMS providers were injured Tuesday morning, the Mohave Valley Daily News reported.

Christopher Wayne Cary, 52, drove his vehicle across a median on the Bullhead Parkway, hit an American Medical Response rig head-on, was ejected from his vehicle and died from his injuries at the scene, according to a report by the Bullhead City Police Department.

The ambulance flipped onto its side.

The crash is being investigated. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor.

The two AMR Las Vegas employees had finished transporting a patient to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center — which is near the crash site — and were returning to Nevada.

Local officials said their injuries were not life-threatening. Medical personnel evaluated Michael Digaetano at the scene. He had been driving the ambulance.

The other EMS provider, Philip Mauro, suffered a broken right arm. Members of the Bullhead City Fire Department took him to the medical center.
