CHICAGO — Two Chicago paramedics and a patient were hospitalized after a collision sent an ambulance into a church on June 29.

The Chicago Police Department said a woman driving a sedan failed to yield to the ambulance, crashing into it and causing the ambulance to hit another vehicle before striking the church, WLS reported.

The ambulance had its lights and siren on while it was transporting a patient to a hospital.

Chicago Fire Department officials told CBS Chicago that the two paramedics were treated and reported to be in good condition. The patient was stabilized and transported to a hospital.

The driver of the sedan refused medical treatment.
