Three Armstrong Ambulance EMTs were among those injured in the two-vehicle crash

BOSTON — Five people, including three EMTs, were injured in an ambulance crash in Boston on Sunday.

Massachusetts State Police said the Armstrong Ambulance rig had its lights and sirens activated when it was struck by another vehicle at an intersection and flipped onto its side, according to CBS Boston.

The three Armstrong Ambulance EMTs on board were transported to the hospital after sustaining minor injuries, officials said. The two people in the other vehicle also sustained minor injuries, with one being transported to the hospital and another being treated at the scene. There were no patients in the ambulance at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by state police.
