GOSHEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — One person was killed and three people are in the hospital after an ambulance crash, according to officials.
WHIO reported that a private ambulance and a pickup truck collided Wednesday at an intersection.
Debra Lock, who was a front-seat passenger in the ambulance, died on the scene. She was reportedly a family member of the patient being transported in the ambulance.
Jeremy Fetters, who was driving the ambulance, Mark Stith and Christopher Bopp were in the ambulance when it crashed. All three were taken to the hospital along with Matthew Wallen, the driver of the truck.
Stith, Bopp and Wallen were all listed in critical condition, and no details have been released on the condition of Fetters.
Champaign County Sheriff’s Office says the private ambulance failed to yield the right of way when it entered the intersection. Officials are investigating whether the ambulance had its lights and sirens activated.
