REEDSBURG, Wis. — Madison College Reedsburg will host a two-day EMS Summer Camp for students entering grades 8 through 11.

The camp will be held June 24-25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will give students hands-on experience in emergency medical services.

Participants will practice lifesaving skills, build confidence and teamwork, and learn about communication, leadership and first responder wellness.

The program will also introduce students to career paths in EMS and healthcare.

“EMS is one of the few careers where you can make an immediate difference in someone’s life,” Madison College instructor Josh Kowalke said. “This camp allows students to experience emergency services in a fun, hands-on environment while building skills and confidence they can use for the rest of their lives. We hope it inspires the next generation of health care and emergency service professionals.”

Students will work with EMS instructors and professionals to explore ambulances, practice CPR and first aid, assess patients and respond to simulated medical and trauma emergencies using real-world equipment.
