NEW CASTLE COUNTY, Del. — Drivers traveling on Route 141 in Brandywine Hundred should expect delays in the wake of a Thursday morning wreck in which an SUV appears to have T-boned a paramedic vehicle.
Initial reports indicate paramedics were headed to a call when a black Honda hit them at the intersection of Weldin Road. Police have not yet said how the wreck occurred.
Talleyville Fire Company call logs show the crash occurred around 8:15 a.m. A Delaware Department of Transportation alert posted at 8:29 a.m. said Route 141 south at Weldin Road is closed due to the wreck.
Radio scanner traffic said one person was injured and taken to Wilmington Hospital for treatment. It’s not known the extent of their injuries.
New Castle County Police are investigating.
