OVERLAND PARKS, Kan. — A group of 12 EMS professionals will be attending the National Association of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP) 2020 Annual Meeting for free thanks to a scholarship awarded by NAEMSP and the AMR Foundation for Research and Education (AMR FRE).
The scholarship will cover registration, housing and travel costs associated with the conference, which is taking place between Jan. 6 and Jan. 11 in San Diego, the NAEMSP announced Tuesday.
“Professional education is an important part of NAEMSP’s mission, and that includes making sure the opportunities we provide are accessible to those who need it,” said NAEMSP President Dr. David K. Tan. “These individuals are all very deserving of this scholarship and I look forward to seeing them at the conference.”
Lynn White, a member of the AMR FRE Board of Directors, added: “We anticipate that this meeting will enhance their knowledge and interests in EMS. There are myriad opportunities for participation and mentorship available through NAEMSP, and we trust they will take advantage of all NAEMSP has to offer and return to the meeting in future years.”
