GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. — The governor of Minnesota ordered the flags be flown at half-staff on Monday in honor of Paramedic Troy Boettcher, who was killed in the line of duty.
On Tuesday, June 8, Boettcher was in the back of an ambulance during a transport with a 17-year-old patient, when a dump truck t-boned the rig, killing both Boettcher and the teenager.
The flags at all state and federal buildings in Minnesota will be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Monday, June 14.
