HENNEPIN COUNTY, Minn. — An EMT has been accused of dragging a dying woman’s half-naked body from the back of an airplane down an aisle.
Star Tribune reported that Theresa Hines, 48, was on a flight from Dallas to the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport when she became sick in the bathroom.
Passenger Art Endress said an EMT came on board and “dragged her down the aisle” in front of 150 passengers; she was naked from the waist down. The woman died shortly after.
“The EMT was out of line on that one,” Endress said. “Also, the flight attendants could have thrown a blanket on her.”
MSP spokesman Patrick Hogan said despite Endress’s claims, “she was not naked” and was removed on a portable stretcher.
Hogan also said the responders “were focused on trying to save her life and get her in the jetway, where they can continue to try to resuscitate her.”
“We hand over the responsibility for the passenger to the local first responders [and] stand clear of the situation. We let them do their work,” American Airlines spokesman Ross Feinstein said.
