PLATTE CITY, Mo. — Forty-four EMS leaders recently graduated from the Fitch & Associates 2021 Spring Ambulance Service Manager (ASM) program.
The blended learning curriculum included both online learning elements and two weeks spent in a traditional classroom setting in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Participants were exposed to ideas designed to elevate their skills as leaders in the field, with industry insights provided by Todd Stout; Jerry Overton; Frank Gresh; Jay Fitch, PhD; Anthony Minge, EdD; Thomas Moore; Todd Sheridan; David Nelson; DMin; and Mike Taigman.
The class leadership award was given to Josh McGaughey, platoon chief for the inter-facility transfer division at St. Charles County (Mo.) Ambulance District.
“I found value in every aspect of the ASM program,” McGaughey said in a press release. “In my experience, the curriculum paired with top-flight educators was instrumental to me personally and I believe to any EMS leader with upward career trajectory in mind.”
Graduates from the spring class will be honored at the Pinnacle Leadership Conference held from August 9-13 in Phoenix, Arizona.
