PHOENIX — An 18-year-old female hiker was rushed to the hospital Wednesday after she fell while hiking Camelback Mountain.
AZ Family reported that the woman fell 60 to 100 feet and was reportedly unconscious but breathing. People visiting the area saw the incident unfold and said it looked like she may have been free climbing and got stuck.
Firefighters had to carry the woman down the mountain, where she was taken by ambulance to a hospital in critical condition.
Witnesses thanked firefighters for arriving quickly and rescuing her.
