ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A firefighter-paramedic tied the knot five years after rescuing a woman from a vicious stabbing attack.
Melissa Dohme was stabbed 32 times by her ex-boyfriend in 2012; her injuries were so severe that witnesses thought she was dead.
Cameron Hill responded to the attack and helped care for Dohme, reported AOL.com. The two eventually began dating, and Hill proposed in 2015 at a MLB baseball game.
Following the proposal, Dohme underwent surgery to repair a damaged facial nerve so she could smile when she walked down the aisle.
