PENN HILLS, Pa. — A firefighter and a paramedic suffered minor injuries Thursday while responding to a fire at a condemned home in Penn Hills that investigators are considering suspicious.
Penn Hills’ fire chief told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 a drunken driver crashed a truck into the home in the 1500 block of Universal Road a few months ago and it was condemned afterward.
Because the house’s structure was unstable, firefighters went to the back of the home, where they believed it was safe, but a piece of the roof fell and hit a firefighter.
