CABAZON, Calif. — Friends, family and colleagues of an EMT who died in January gathered to mourn and pay tribute to her.
Stacey Warriner, 44, pulled over to help a driver when another vehicle struck her, reported ABC7. A procession of ambulances and fire trucks led those in mourning, who gathered to remember Warriner with poems and music at her memorial service Tuesday.
“There was countless times that she would want to stop and help people and make sure other people were OK,” Warriner’s husband, Vaughn, said. “[She] put others’ lives before her own.”
Warriner served as an EMT for nearly two decades. A supervisor of Warriner’s said her passion for helping others was evident in her work.
“In a six-month period, Stacey was involved in performing CPR on six people,” supervisor Kimberly Dietrick said. “One was an employee, and of those six she saved four lives.”
A GoFundMe page has raised over $6,000 in Warriner’s name.
