WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. — Three people are dead and five others injured after a fiery collision involving four vehicles in the Los Angeles community of Woodland Hills.
Los Angeles Police Department officer James Norton says the crash began when a 2015 Ford Mustang collided with a 2015 Mercedes exiting a Chevron gas station.
The Mustang then collided with a 2015 Chevy Malibu traveling the opposite direction and a parked 2012 Honda Accord.
A vehicle caught fire.
Police say bystanders used fire extinguishers and buckets of water to hold back the flames until firefighters arrived.
Three people were pronounced dead at area hospitals. Their names have not been released, pending notification of family.
Norton says the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
