DALLAS COUNTY, IOWA -- A longtime paramedic for Dallas County EMS who died suddenly from a medical condition is being remembered as a “great man” and someone who will be sorely missed.
The Dallas County EMS Professionals IAFF Local 4127 announced Dan Lindsay’s death on its Facebook page Saturday “with a heavy heart.”
“Dan will be sorely missed by his Dallas County EMS coworkers and the lives he touched here in his 19 plus years.”

The Perry News also noted that the Dallas County Sheriff’s Benevolent Association, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office Iowa and the Perry Police Department also posted condolences to Lindsay.

“I’ll try and continue to live up to the standards you taught me. The sun will rise tomorrow, and I will go man my spot on the Blue shift and make you proud,” The Perry News quoted Linday’s longtime Dallas County EMS partner and friend, Paramedic Lee Coons.
