EAST MIDLANDS, U.K. — Ten ambulance staff are to receive a commendation for bravery for their part in the rescue of a lorry driver who was pulled from his burning cab following a smash on the A14.
East Midlands Ambulance Service will tonight present the group with Chief Executive’s Commendations after the staff risked their own lives to treat casualties.
The accident happened last year when a lorry crashed into a heavy goods vehicle which had broken down in a lane of the A14 between westbound junctions 8 and 9 at Kettering.
