CONCORD, N.H. — First responders are crediting passers-by for getting an 18-year- old injured driver out from under his car after it rolled over in Gilmanton.
WMUR said the car was skewered by a fence post during the Sunday night crash on Province Road.
Officials said a group of at least six people pulled over to help and used fence posts to lift the car off the man who was trapped beneath.
The driver and his 17-year-old passenger were hospitalized and are expected to survive. Their names were not released.
Gilmanton fire Chief K.G. Lockwood said the bystanders saved the driver’s life.
