HASTINGS, UK — A paramedic who tried to save a drowning angler has been given a bravery award.
Phil Wadey was called to Wishing Tree Lake on August 13 after Ian Cooper, 35, of Redgeland Rise, encountered difficulties in the water.
He was trying to recover a fellow angler’s rod after a carp had unexpectedly dragged it into the water.
