Neb. baby delivered in ambulance

LINCOLN, Neb. — Kristy Bjorgaard woke up early Saturday morning and was making plans to go camping even though it was hot and her belly was swollen with pregnancy and her back hurt.

She wasn’t due until July 11, but she’d been having Braxton Hicks contractions for about a week.

She and her partner, April, had gotten breakfast and returned to April’s mother’s house when the contractions took a hard corner. April told her to drink cranberry juice. The contractions kept coming.
