CALHOUN, Ga. — A LifeForce Flight Paramedic saves a mother and three children from a car fire and Thursday they talk for the first time since the incident.
July 18th, Stacey Prater was driving home from his shift at the LifeForce base in Calhoun, Georgia when he noticed the car in front of him was on fire! He got the driver to pull over and she was able to get two children out of the car, but couldn’t get to another. So Stacey used his scissors to cut the straps and get the boy out of his seat to safety.
Prater’s co-workers and Gordon County Commissioners have called him a hero for his actions. But Thursday for the first time since the fire, Prater got to talk to the driver, Bethany Chambley.
