Report 1: Rural/Metro Corporation (NASDAQ:RURL) announced that it has been awarded a renewal contract to continue as the exclusive emergency ambulance provider in the City of Greenwood, Indiana.

The three-year contract term began April 1, 2007 and contains a one-year renewal option, for a total possible length of four years. The contract is expected to generate an estimated $1 million in net revenue annually.

Jack Brucker, President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “We are pleased to continue providing service to the City of Greenwood and remain committed to delivering the highest level of medical transportation services to the citizens we serve. Greenwood’s proximity to nearby Indianapolis allows us to further leverage the strength of our growing base of regional operations in the area.

Rural/Metro and its predecessor company have served the City of Greenwood for more than 26 years, providing approximately 2,800 ambulance transports annually. The city occupies approximately 14 square miles in central Indiana and is home to more than 42,000 residents.

Bryan Gibson, Group President, said, “We are proud to be selected once again as the exclusive provider of emergency medical transportation services to the citizens of Greenwood and will continue to work closely with the Greenwood Fire Department to further enhance the EMS system in this community.”

Rural/Metro and the Greenwood Fire Department partner to enhance the emergency response system in Greenwood by stationing Rural/Metro ambulances at local fire stations, conducting joint training, community education and special events.

Report 2: Rural/Metro Corporation (NASDAQ:RURL) announced that its partnership with the City of San Diego, San Diego Medical Services Enterprise LLC, has been awarded a new contract as one of several contracted preferred providers of medical transportation services to the Kaiser Permanente health maintenance organization (HMO) in San Diego County.

The contract for non-emergency medical transportation services that began April 1, 2007 is expected to generate estimated net revenue of $2.2 million annually. The contract provides for an initial, two-year term, followed by automatic one-year extensions subject to mutual agreement thereafter.

Kaiser Permanente is the nation’s largest health-maintenance organization, with more than 500,000 covered lives in San Diego County. The HMO will reimburse San Diego Medical Services Enterprise for its non-emergency medical transportation services in accordance with negotiated contract rates.

Report 3: Rural/Metro Corporation (NASDAQ:RURL) announced that its Southwest Ambulance division has been awarded a renewal contract to continue as the exclusive 911 emergency medical transportation partner to the City of Tucson, Arizona, and the Tucson Fire Department.

Southwest Ambulance has been the sole provider of Basic Life Support (BLS) medical transportation services in Tucson for more than a decade. The latest renewal contract term began March 1, 2007 and is renewable annually through 2012. Tucson Fire Department provides all Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance transports within the city. Billing services for all Tucson Fire Department transports are provided under a separate contract with Southwest Ambulance.

Southwest Ambulance continues to be responsive to the needs of the city and our department whenever pre-hospital issues arise. We believe we have been and will continue to be well-served through this contract.”
