YAKIMA, Wash. — Emergency responders will simulate dealing with the crash of a commercial airplane Saturday at the Yakima Air Terminal.
The Federal Aviation Administration requires the exercise to take place every three years. It will start about 11 a.m. andbefore 3 p.m., according to an airport news release.
More than 70 volunteer actors will fill roles as injured victims, family members, reporters and others.
More than 100 responders are expected. Firefighters from Yakima and surrounding agencies will be on hand, along with Yakima police, local hospitals, ambulance companies and others.
