We wouldn’t dare utter the ‘Q’ word, but sometimes your crew might get a few moments of downtime.
You can fill those moments with catching up with your favorite EMS1 columnists, chuckling as you read a Top 10 list from the Ambulance Driver, or watching reruns of ‘Nightwatch.’
Or do you head outside to shoot baskets or challenge the engine company to a game of cornhole?
T. Steve Gardner, who retired in 2010 after 30 years with Wake County EMS, made this custom, handmade set of cornhole boards and bags.
“Anyone in EMS is welcome to stop by for a friendly game of cornhole,” said Jeffrey Hammerstein, Chief of Community Outreach / EMS PIO, Wake County EMS.
Does your station have its own custom cornhole set, dart board, or other lawn games? Share your photos with us in the comments or by email.
