Denton, MD – Demers’ dealers from Maryland, Windsteads’ Fire Equipment, sells its first ambulances to the Princess Anne Volunteer Fire Company. The Princess Anne Volunteer Fire Company placed an order for a Mystere MX170E, Type III ambulance. The unit will be mounted on a 2011 GMC 4500 series chassis. Special features include the Demers Exclusive “Mobility Track” Curbside Captains Chair with 3-Point Seat Belt, Demers Exclusive Heads-Up Console, LED Rope Lighting, Ziamatic Oxygen Lift, Knox Medvault-Model5500, Integrated Child Safety Seat and Whelen Pioneer Scene Lighting. An early fall 2011 delivery is expected.
Princess Anne Volunteer Fire Company has 50 members, operates 10 apparatus and is the only station in Somerset County, MD to employ ALS providers for their medic unit 24 hours a day. Winstead’s Fire Equipment operates the largest Fire Apparatus sales and service center on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. In addition to the new service center Winstead’s operates four full time service vehicles providing road service in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.
