BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — An ambulance crossing through a red light on an emergency call at a Northeast Side intersection struck a car, injuring the woman inside.
Bexar County sheriff’s deputies said the incident occurred about 8:20 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Walzem Road and Elm Trail.
Deputies at the scene of Tuesday’s wreck said the AMR ambulance was traveling northbound on Walzem on an emergency code. As the ambulance ran a red light, a Nissan Altima turned off of Elm Trail into the intersection, where the ambulance struck it, deputies said.
