WINTER PARK, Fla.— Florida Gov. Rick Scott stopped by an ambulance manufacturer in Winter Park on Thursday morning to announce that the company will add more than 100 new jobs .
US Ambulance Corp. plans to add 126 positions to the 473 it has at its Winter Park factory, which is already the largest single ambulance-making site in the world.
The company, which plans to make a capital investment of $2 million, is expanding because of its acquisition of two additional ambulance brands. It manufactures ambulances and other rescue vehicles under the brands Wheeled Coach, Road Rescue, McCoy Miller and Marque.
