WINNIPEG, Manitoba — No one was seriously injured when an ambulance carrying a patient was involved in a collision today, Winnipeg police said.
The ambulance, based out of Portage la Prairie, was heading west on Portage Avenue near Sturgeon Road when it was hit by a Pontiac Grand Am travelling in the same direction, police said.
It appears the female driver of the Grand Am was attempting a U-turn when she struck the ambulance, police said.
