LEON COUNTY, Fla. — A passenger from a sport utility vehicle that collided with a Leon County ambulance on its way to another car crash late Thursday remained in critical condition as of Friday afternoon, according to officials with the Leon County Sheriff’s Office.
At 11:28 p.m. a Leon County Emergency Services ambulance was headed west on West Tharpe Street to a vehicle crash at the Old Bainbridge Road intersection when it collided with a 2011 Buick Enclave at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. All three people in the SUV were taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and two of them received non-life threatening injuries. The front seat passenger remained critical, Leon County Sheriff’s Lt. James McQuaig said.
Two paramedics in the ambulance received minor injuries, McQuaig added.
