COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — A 19-year-old Commerce City Police Department Explorer and her front seat passenger were injured Thursday when she drove into the path of a Northglenn Ambulance.
As officers arrived on scene they discovered the two vehicles off the roadway sitting on the grass at Monaco Park. Both vehicles had severe damage.
Witnesses told officers that the ambulance was eastbound on East 56th Avenue, approaching Magnolia Street, when a Ford Taurus attempted to make a left-hand turn and drove into the path of the ambulance.
