Fitch & Associates retired founding partner Richard A. Keller, 67, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 12, at his home in Gladstone, Missouri. Keller was best known for his work in EMS reimbursement, compliance and revenue cycle management. He was instrumental in developing multiple California EMS system designs and procurements.
Keller started with the firm in 1984 after previously serving as the director of a rural Missouri EMS system and retired in 2015. He was known for his mathematical prowess and skillful insight of EMS billing and compliance, and his significant contributions to modern EMS.
Keller is survived by his mother, Jean; wife of 43 years, Betty; daughters Daryl and Alison; son-in-law Trey; five siblings, six grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, peers, and colleagues. His memorial service will be held Sunday, October 20, at White Chapel in Kansas City.
