COQUITLAM, Canada — An ambulance attendant convicted of sexually touching an 11-year-old autistic boy in his care has been sentenced to 90 days in jail and three years of probation.
The attendant, who is identified only by the initials M.E.H. in a provincial court ruling, and his partner were summoned to the boy’s home in Coquitlam on June 23, 2007. The boy’s mother was concerned that she had given the boy an overdose of sedative medication.
M.E.H.'s partner asked him to get the boy’s vital signs as he lay on a stretcher inside the ambulance, with the partner going inside the home to speak to the mother.
