HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. — Two EMS providers were assaulted after responding to a call Monday night.

Sun Herald reported that Parker David Waltman, 18, was not cooperative when two American Medical Response responders arrived to assist him.

“He was convulsing and seizing up, and deputies tried to keep him calm, but when AMR arrived, he refused to follow their orders,” Sheriff Ricky Adam said.

Adam said Waltman was “screaming and hollering, very belligerent,” according to the report. The man also spat on the EMS providers and twisted one’s arm.

“When I get out of here, I’m gonna kill you and your families,” Waltman told the AMR providers.

Waltman was arrested on two counts of simple assault on an emergency medical worker and retaliation against a public servant.
