FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — A man was arrested this week for allegedly assaulting two female EMTs who were trying to help him.

According to Flagstaff police reports, Guardian Medical Transport responded to the 4300 block of East Industrial Drive around 10:36 a.m. Sunday to bring an intoxicated man to the hospital. The suspect asked one of the female EMTs if he could kiss her while she was trying to treat him. After the other EMT told him to stop, the suspect reached up and grabbed the first woman’s breast. The second EMT pinned him down to prevent any more unwelcome touching. The suspect then started flailing his arms around wildly. He ended up grabbing the second EMT’s arm and punching her in the chest four to five times.

The EMTs managed to put one of the suspect’s arms in soft restraints before police arrived. An officer then helped them get the other arm restrained. The EMT who had been punched was visibly shaken when the officer questioned her, and complained of pain in her back, neck and wrist.
