NEW CASTLE, Pa. — A homeless man was arrested after allegedly trying to choke an ambulance attendant.
Donald William Brown, 35, was charged with simple assault, harassment and public drunkenness, News Castle News reported.
He told a Medevac employee she couldn’t trust him, then lunged at her, grabbed her by the throat and tried to choke her while being transported in an ambulance, police told the newspaper. The driver pulled over and ran to police who were following the ambulance after the call.
Police initially received a report of someone screaming and knocking on doors, and found Brown throwing up outside a building. Officers called for an ambulance after he stumbled to the ground and passed out.
